MPA, SBP manager lead Financial Literacy Walk


Sialkot: A Financial Literacy Walk was led by Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Chaudhry Faisal Ikram and Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Sialkot Fouzia Aslam as part of the State Bank’s Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025 (PFLW).



Vice Chancellor Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) Prof. Dr. Shazia Bashir, Vice Chancellors of different Universities, SBP Employees, Regional Heads of Financial Institutions, representatives from NGOs working for Persons with Special Abilities, Social Media Influencers, representatives of various government and private financial institutions and female students participated in the walk held at Government College Women University Sialkot (GCWUS) in large numbers.



Chief guest and Member Provincial Assembly Chaudhry Faisal Ikram said that the aim of the walk is to promote financial awareness, inclusion and autonomy.



Chief Manager State Bank (SBP) Sialkot Fouzia Aslam said that this year’s Literacy Week has been titled ‘Financial Inclusion through Collaboration and Innovation’.



She said that the aim of such activities is to enable individuals to make better financial decisions, encourage them to adopt digital financial services and play an active role in the economic development of Pakistan.



This is a good initiative by the State Bank of Pakistan, which will increase the promotion of financial literacy and inclusion across the country.



Chief Manager SBP said that the financial literacy equips female students with essential life skills. She said that this will enable them to make well-informed financial decisions and manage their money effectively throughout their lives.



She said that the Financial Literacy Week activities will empower individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to make sound financial decisions, contribute to economic development and adopt the desired level of financial literacy in the country.
