PESHAWAR:Provision of quality health services has been the specialty of Medical Teaching Institute Hayatabad Medical Complex (MTI-HMC) Peshawar and for this purpose the hospital is purchasing quality medicines and equipment.
The hospital also ensures that its staffers, especially the doctors, who perform duties in emergency situations are also provided with incentives in exchange for additional services so that the patients get quality and best treatment, says a press release issued here on Sunday.
MTI-HMC Peshawar is also providing facilities on health cards for the convenience of the people and to make this process transparent and systematic a special bank account has been created which is in accordance with the orders and rules of the Finance Department of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The hospital has been conducting regular internal and external audits to ensure transparency in financial matters. An external audit has recently been initiated which is continuing under the supervision of expert auditors of the Auditor General.
The audit is in its initial stage and the draft report has been submitted to the hospital management, which is based on the observations and questions that are being answered by the respective departments of the hospital.
The audit report will be presented to the Departmental Audit Committee in the next two weeks and finalization would be made public.
