Muhammad Waseem appointed as chairperson SPSC

KARACHI:Sindh government, on Thursday, appointed retired bureaucrat Muhammad Waseem as Chairman Sindh Public Service Commission (SPSC).

According to a notification issued by Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, the appointment of Muhammad Waseem – a retired officer of Ex-PCS (BS-22) – was made under SPSC Act 2022 with the approval of Governor Sindh with immediate effect. The pay allowances and prerequisites of the chairperson would be notified separately.

Muhammad Waseem had served in various positions in Sindh including Chairman Anti-Corruption and Senior Member Revenue Board, while he retired as Chairman Planning and Development Board last year.

As per SPSC Act 2022, the SPSC chairperson and members might hold office for a single term of four years which shall not be extended further.
