FAISALABAD:The police have traced out a blind murder and arrested six accused including two women along with weapons, said SSP Investigation Captain (Retired) Muhammad Ajmal.
Addressing a press conference here on Monday, he said that Muhammad Siddique, son of Nawab Din Ghifari, of Mohallah Ashraf Abad Sammundri, was shot dead by four car riders near Chak No.248-RB on August 27, 2022.
Roshanwala police had registered a case and a special team was constituted on special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad which worked under the supervision of SP Iqbal Town Usman Munir Saifi.
The team started investigation on scientific lines and traced the whereabouts of the accused after which the police arrested six accused including Ali Haidar Bhatti, of Chak No.225-RB, Ali Hamza barber, of Inaam Villas, Muhammad Usman Butt, of Inaam Villas, Hasnain Butt, of Khalid Park Gojra, Mst. Nazia, wife of slain Siddique, and his step-daughter Khadija.
During initial interrogations, the accused told the police that
Nazia and Khadija wanted the house of the slain Siddique transferred to their name but he refused. Therefore, the women made a plan to kill him and they also obtained help of accused Ali Haidar, etc. The police recovered a pistol and a car used in the murder.
SP Iqbal Division Usman Munir Saifi and others were also present.
