MURREE:Deputy Commissioner Murree Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi on Thursday directed the relevant departments to ensure foolproof security for vaccination teams and 100 per cent coverage of children under five for the anti-polio campaign scheduled from November 2 to 5.
Presiding over a meeting to review the campaign arrangements, the DC directed the police and other law enforcement agencies to provide comprehensive security to field teams, stressing that no negligence would be tolerated in the national campaign.
Later, he administered polio drops to children at Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Murree and urged the relevant officers and vaccination teams to ensure that every child under five received the vaccine.
He also highlighted the importance of effective measures to eradicate polio and appealed to parents to ensure vaccination of their children.
The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to polio eradication and safeguarding children’s future.
