Musadik Malik said a cricket club was established abroad for sending funds to the PTI and in that regard the first payment of $1. 2 million was received from the Abraj Investment. The PTI also got £2 million from the cabinet member of a foreign country, he added.
He recalled that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif was disqualified lifetime by the apex court for just holding an ‘Iqama’ (residential permit) of his son’s company.
The minister said the prohibited foreign funding case of the PTI had been pending with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the last eight years, which should be decided without any further delay.
He said it was unfortunate that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was ready to negotiate with terrorists and anti-state elements, but not with politicians. He (Imran Khan] had been desperate to talk to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the US president, but could not get them even on phone, Musadik remarked.
