ISLAMABAD:A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for enhancing mutual cooperation in various areas has been signed between the National Electronics Complex of Pakistan (NECOP) and the Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) here on Tuesday.
The Director General of NECOP Dr. Sajid Baloch (SI/TI) and Javaid Iqbal, the Chief Commercial Officer and Member of STZA, signed the MoU on behalf of their organizations, said a news release.
Both organizations agreed to conduct joint studies, seminars, trainings, and other activities to enable and integrate Pakistan’s tech ecosystem.
The DG of NECOP and the CCO of STZA also expressed their mutual desire to work closely on facilitating the technology sector organizations, companies and startups in Pakistan, by helping to remove barriers that impede their growth.
The signing ceremony was attended by officials from both organizations, who affirmed their resolve to enable enterprises and organizations working on emerging technologies in the country for supporting innovation-driven economic growth in Pakistan.
The STZA is committed to developing knowledge ecosystems for unlocking an entrepreneurial, innovative, and knowledge-driven economic future for Pakistan.
The STZA has been established by the government to provide world-class infrastructure as well as regulatory and fiscal incentives in the Special Technology Zones (STZs) across the country.
