ISLAMABAD:The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday approved Rs12.68 per unit increase in power tariff for consumers of K-Electric under 4th quarterly adjustment for fiscal year 2021-22.
The K-Electric has sought Rs14.53 per unit increase in the tariff under the 4th quarterly adjustment, said a notification issued by the power regulator.
The authority had conducted pubic hearing into the KE petition on August 31. The Authority after reviewing statistics allowed Rs12.68 per unit hike in the power tariff, it further said.
As per practice, the government maintains a uniform tariff across the country and generally the differential is adjusted through subsidy, the notification said.
