Multan: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Multan region arrested a Nikah Registrar
while receiving a bribe of Rs15,000 during a raid in Lodhran on Monday. The action was carried out under the supervision of Regional Director ACE Multan Basharat Nabi, on the special directions of Director General ACE Punjab Sohail Zafar Chattha. A team led by Circle officer ACE Lodhran Ali Hassan conducted the raid under the supervision of a Judicial Magistrate and arrested Zulfiqar Ahmed, a Nikah Registrar in Lodhran district, while receiving the bribe.
According to the ACE spokesperson, the accused had received Rs15,000 for registration of the Nikah of the cousin of Allah Ditta, son of Allah Wasaya. The marked currency was recovered from the accused and taken into custody in accordance with legal procedure. A case was registered against the accused and further investigations launched.
