BAHAWALPUR:Vice Chancellor, the Islamia University of Bahawalpur Engr. Prof. Dr Athar Mahboob has said that Commonwealth Games hero Arshad Nadeem is a national asset.
His visit to Islamia University Bahawalpur is an honor for the faculty and students.
Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob expressed these views during a meeting with Arshad Nadeem and the Director of Sports Higher Education Commission Engr. Javed Ali Memon who were visiting the Islamia University of Bahawalpur to participate in the 56th Standing Sub-Committee of All Pakistan University Sports Board.
Industrialist Mehmood Majeed, Director Sports Amjad Farooq Waraich, and Dean Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Aftab Hussain Gillani were also present on this occasion.
The Vice-Chancellor said that Islamia University Bahawalpur is among the leading universities in the field of sports. Our students participate in sports events at national and international levels.
Arshad Nadeem said that during his visit to the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, he met the teachers and students and was impressed by the beauty of the campus. Meanwhile, the event of the 56th Standing Sub-Committee of All Pakistan University Sports Board was held at the Islamia University of Bahawalpur.
The committee meeting of Prime Minister Talent Hunt Sports League 2022-23 was also held.
Director Sports HEC Javed Ali Memon said that the Islamia University of Bahawalpur is the most appropriate venue for this event.
Arshad Nadeem raised the flag of our country at the international podium. Our young generation should follow and learn from such heroes. He said that HEC has approved three new games for girls at Women’s University. Now female students will also be able to do wrestling, boxing, and weightlifting.
