ISLAMABAD:One person was killed by unknown motorcyclists in the Nowshera district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
According to a private news channel, police said that the incident occurred in Akbarpura Bazar when the assailants opened fire and then fled the scene.
The deceased was identified as Hasan Zaib, who was a local journalist in Nowshera. His body was immediately shifted to the hospital.
Following the incident, a heavy police presence was deployed to the area.
Authorities have set up blockades at various locations in an effort to apprehend the attackers.
In response, KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur took immediate notice of the murder and demanded a comprehensive report from senior police officials.
The Chief Minister emphasized that those responsible for the murder would be brought to justice swiftly.
