Opposition to face defeat in no-trust motion: CM

Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday said that the opposition would face defeat and the no-trust motion would end in a fiasco.

He expressed these views during meetings with more than 200 parliamentarians including Tareen group, Aleem group, hum Khayal group, women and minorities assembly members during the last ten days.

During the meetings, the parliamentarians reposed their trust in the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar while reiterating their commitment to foil the no-trust move.

The chief minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was the popular leader of 220 million Pakistanis while the opponents had made every effort to weaken the national interest. Prime Minister Imran Khan would continue to be a ‘plus’ factor in politics while the opposition would be minus, he added.

He regretted that the opposition had proved that it had no interest in safeguarding the national interest by indulging in negative politics over OIC moot.

“The OIC invitees are honourable guests of Pakistan”, he said and added, “The nation is very hospitable and we all welcome the honourable guests from the core of our hearts.”

Usman Buzdar stated that the opposition had resorted to irresponsible attitude even at an important juncture of history.
