Faisalabad:The district police have chalked out a foolproof security plan for the Champion Cricket Cup starting at Iqbal Stadium here on Thursday. According to a police spokesperson, over 2,000 policemen, including officers, have been deployed on security duty.
The police have formed three-layer security for the checking of spectators in the stadium. The security has been divided into red zone, yellow zone and parking outer-door. The traffic police have also made elaborate arrangements to maintain smooth flow of traffic near the stadium and other leading roads.
The traffic police have allocated areas for parking. According to which, the outside of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan auditorium has reserved for car parking, Commissioner Office to Landa Bazar Mor and office of special branch to Goraya Mor for general parking. Riaz Shahid Chowk and outer gate of stadium to Islam Nagar has been reserved for motorcycle parking.
