MUZAFFARGARH:Punjab government granted administrative approval for the establishment of a medical college in Layyah at a total estimated cost of Rs 4.406 billion.
According to Deputy Commissioner Layyah Asif Ali Dogar, the completion deadline of the project was set by June 30, 2028.
An amount exceeding Rs3.449 billion has been allocated for construction work and infrastructure development, while more than Rs956.7 million has been earmarked for the hospital’s general services.
The administrative approval for the project was issued by the Punjab Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education department.
Deputy Commissioner Asif Ali Dogar said the establishment of the medical college would be an important development for higher medical education and the expansion of healthcare services in Layyah.
