KARACHI:The total liquid foreign reserves of the country decreased by $157 million at $ 13. 16202 billion, says the State Bank of Pakistan.
SBP’s weekly statement issued here on Thursday said that on Oct. 21, the foreign reserves held by State Bank amounted to $ 7,439.9 million. The net foreign reserves with commercial banks were $ 5,722.3 million.
During the week ending on Oct.21, SBP’s reserves decreased by $ 157 million to $ 7,439.9 million due to external debt repayment.
SBP has received $ 1.5 billion from Asian Development Bank in value on Oct. 26, 2022, as disbursement of a loan for the Government of Pakistan. These proceeds will be reflected in SBP reserves for the week ending 28-Oct-2022.
