ABBOTTABAD: Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad Tariq Salam Marwat Monday said that Pakistan Learning Festival would prove as a positive activity to improve children’s further knowledge.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting on Pakistan Learning Festival at his office.
It was informed during the meeting that the children’s festival will be held on March 12 and 13 at Comsats University Abbottabad Campus where speakers will deliver lectures on special programs, activities and learning for children.
During the festival, stalls of various institutions including Oxford would be established, lectures on the importance of education for children, attachment to books for acquiring knowledge and educational events related to their lives will be also be organized.
The program will be arranged by the Institute of Education and Awareness, the District Youth Office and the District Administration.
Galyat Development Authority (GDA), Comsats, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Department (KPITD), Water and Sanitation Services Company Abbottabad (WSSCA), Oxford Books, Bank of Khyber (BoK), Directorate of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other agencies will also play their part in organizing a successful festival.
District administration also requested the masses to come in person and bring their children to participate in the festival so that the learning of children can be further enhanced. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Abbottabad Muhammad Hassan Ahsan, In-charge Oxford Books Abbottabad, In-charge Education and Awareness Institute and District Sports Officer Abbottabad.
