Lahore: Pakistan Railways Headquarters in Lahore and other major railway stations, including Rawalpindi, have been decorated with national flags and illuminated with lights to celebrate the historic joint defence agreement between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye.
Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi paid tribute to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the Field Marshal for their leadership in securing the landmark agreement.
He described the joint defence agreement as an important milestone in Pakistan’s successful diplomacy and effective foreign policy, saying it had given a new dimension to defence and strategic cooperation between Pakistan and its brotherly Muslim countries.
‘The agreement is a strong symbol of the unity of the Muslim Ummah and a shared commitment to collective security, ‘ the minister said.
Hanif Abbasi said the agreement would further enhance Pakistan’s global standing, defence capabilities and diplomatic achievements.
He congratulated the entire Pakistani nation on the historic development, describing it as a matter of pride for the country.
The minister said Pakistan would continue to play its role, in cooperation with brotherly Muslim countries, for collective defence, regional peace and stability.
