Patwari held for taking bribe


Muzaffargarh: Anti-Corruption Establishment arrested a patwari red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs.30,000 from a citizen,here on Saturday.



According to official source,Muhammad Shoaib,r/o Muradabad had filed a complaint alleging that Patwari Nadeem Aslam , posted in Muradabad circle,demanded Rs.30,000 for issuing a green certificate.



The complainant alleged that the patwari had already taken Rs.20,000 from him earlier.



Instead of paying more,the complainant approached the Anti-Corruption Establishment,which set a trap.



Under the supervision of Naveed Hussain,Magistrate Section 30,a team raided the spot and recovered the marked currency notes from the patwari’s pocket on the complainant’s pointation.



The Anti-Corruption police took the recovered amount into custody,arrested the accused and registered a case against him. Further investigation was underway.
