Faisalabad: The Punjab government has approved a development package worth Rs. 12 billion for district Faisalabad, under which the upgrading of the sewage system in the eastern and western areas of the city will be completed. In this regard, Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza on Monday said that on the orders of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab government has approved a development package worth Rs 12 billion. He further said that under the new development package, initial work has been completed regarding the schemes. Technical bids have been submitted while tenders have been called. He hoped that construction work on the development schemes will be started from the last week of the current month.
