PESHAWAR:Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) here on Saturday launched a Clean and Green Peshawar campaign under which Hayatabad, Regi Model Town and Jamrud Road would be cleaned with the help of students and civil society.
The launching of Clean and Green Peshawar was attended by Caretaker Local Government (LG) Minister, Engineer Amir Durrani, Secretary LG, Daud Khan, Director General PDA, Muhammad Zubair, Additional Director General, Riaz Ali and Director Building Control.
The campaign aimed to clean these areas besides creating awareness among people about the benefits of a healthy and clean environment.
Talking to the media, the caretaker minister said that available resources would be utilized to make the campaign a success.
He urged civil society to help PDA in its endeavours and said that more than 800,000 saplings would be planted to make the city beautiful.
