PESHAWAR: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) Chief Akhtar Hameed Khan has directed field officers in Mardan and Swabi circles to improve operational efficiency, reduce line losses and ensure prompt resolution of consumer complaints.
During a performance review, officers briefed him on the progress of their respective circles, divisions and subdivisions, according to a PESCO statement issued on Friday.
The PESCO chief emphasised uninterrupted power supply and improved field operations, directing the officers to achieve all targets set by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
He said the company would hold officers accountable for poor performance and was issuing show-cause notices to those failing to meet the required standards.
Akhtar Hameed Khan also called for intensified action against electricity theft and additional measures to curb line losses.
He warned that the company would take strict action against employees who treated consumers discourteously and stressed the need for professional conduct and better public service.
