Rawalpindi: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) teams are continuing routine inspections in different areas of Rawalpindi to ensure food safety and hygiene standards. According to officials, the teams are checking food businesses and milk-carrying vehicles and taking action against violations. During a recent inspection at GT Road, Mandrah, 1,200 litres of adulterated milk were discarded after water adulteration was detected, while the supplier was fined Rs25,000.
The PFA teams are also checking cleanliness, food storage, licensing and other safety standards at food outlets and businesses in different areas. Officials said the inspection drive would continue to ensure the provision of safe and hygienic food to citizens.
