ATTOCK: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has seized and destroyed over 23,000 liters of fake carbonated and fizzy drinks in Attock, on Thursday.
According to PFA Spokesperson, The Punjab Food Authority’s team working alongside the police, raided two warehouses near village Haji Shah where the fake drinks were being stored for sale.
The drinks were found to be produced in counterfeit bottles and containers of well-known international brands.
They were made with harmful chemicals, contaminated water and loose dyes, posing a serious health risk to consumers.
The PFA spokesperson stated that all 23,000 liters of the fake and substandard drinks were disposed of.
The owners of the warehouses were fined heavily for their illegal activities.
