SARGODHA:SP Punjab Highways Police(PHP), Sargodha Region,Farrukh Sohail Sandhu has stressed the importance of installing road safety infrastructure on highways to prevent accidents and ensure safe travelling.
He expressed these views during a meeting with Executive Engineer (XEN) Highways Malik Gulfam Awan, emphasizing that the installation of appropriate road furniture, including traffic signs and other safety installations, was essential for accident prevention.
The SP stressed the need for close coordination between the Highways Department and Punjab Highway Police to identify accident-prone areas and ensure the installation of necessary safety infrastructure.
SP Muhammad Fazil Basra has identified several locations where road furniture was urgently required,including the route from Lahore Road to Jhal Charian Bypass,as well as Sargodha-Lahore,Sargodha-Faisalabad,Sargodha-Gujrat, Sargodha-Khushab and Sargodha-Mianwali roads.
The XEN Highways,Malik assured that work on installing the required road safety infrastructure at the identified locations would commence soon and pledged full cooperation with Punjab Highway Police to improve road safety.
