Sargodha: A meeting was held in the committee room of the Commissioner’s Office under the chairmanship of Additional Commissioner Coordination Sargodha Division Ashfaq-ur-Rehman Khan regarding the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Package. The meeting reviewed the implementation of the Fuel Relief Scheme in the districts of Sargodha Division, provision of relief to the public and related arrangements.
Additional Deputy Commissioners Sargodha, Khushab, Mianwali and Bhakkar participated in the meeting through video link, while the presidents of the Petroleum Associations of the respective districts also attended the meeting.
The Additional Commissioner Coordination directed that provision of convenience and relief to the public should be ensured as per the prescribed procedure under the Prime Minister’s Fuel Relief Package. He directed the concerned officers to effectively monitor the arrangements, awareness and registration process at petrol pumps.
He said that public convenience and transparency should be given priority at all times and that citizens should not face unnecessary difficulties during the implementation of the fuel relief scheme. The concerned district administration and petroleum associations should make the arrangements more effective through mutual communication.
The Additional Commissioner Coordination directed that awareness measures should be made more effective to guide the citizens regarding the scheme and the concerned officers should play an active role in immediately resolving the complaints and issues received.
In the meeting, representatives of the district administration and petroleum association also gave a briefing on issues related to the implementation of the fuel relief package.
