Sargodha: Bhalwal City police arrested three kite sellers and recovered 575 kites along with chemical strings from their possession during a crackdown on Wednesday.
According to a police spokesperson, a team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bhalwal City conducted a raid and caught the suspects red-handed while they were selling prohibited items.
The police registered separate cases against the arrested individuals under the Kite Flying Act.
District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf stated that no one would be allowed to sell or fly kites as it posed a threat to human lives.
He directed the officials to take strict legal action against those involved in such illegal activities to ensure they reached their logical end.
The DPO also urged the citizens to demonstrate responsibility by reporting kite flying or selling activities on the police helpline 15, the spokesperson added.
