Sialkot:Police on Monday claimed to have arrested an accused who killed his wife over a family dispute, a police release said. A case was registered at Sadar Sialkot Police Station under FIR No. 1662/26, under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Taking notice of the incident, DPO Sialkot Captain (Retd) Dost Muhammad ordered the immediate arrest of the accused and directed that the investigation be conducted on merit.
Acting under the supervision of Sadar Sialkot Police Station SHO Sub-Inspector Awais Arshad, a police team traced and arrested the accused, who had been on the run. Further investigation is underway to examine all aspects of the incident.
