DERA ISMAIL KHAN:A policeman was martyred as unknown terrorists opened fire on him within the limits of Draban police station here on Monday, said police.
According to a police spokesman, a police constable-Samiullah was going from home for security duty at the Judicial Complex when some unknown terrorists targeted him on the way with firearms, leaving him injured seriously.
The assailants fled the scene after the cowardly attack.
As information was received about the incident, a heavy contingent of police reached the site and shifted the injured police personnel to hospital where he scrummed to the injuries.
Police cordoned off the area and started a search operation.
