Lahore: A shootout took place between police and robbers in the Mohalanwal area, as a result of which one robber was killed while the other managed to escape. According to the Mohalanwal police, the suspects were fleeing after an alleged incident of robbery with a citizen when the police tried to stop them, on which the suspects opened fire on the police. As a result of the police’s retaliatory fire, one robber was killed while his accomplice fled the scene.
A heavy contingent of police reached the spot as soon as the incident was reported. Police have launched further investigations into the incident.
