PESHAWAR:Shabqadar Police on Wednesday foiled an attempt to smuggle arms and ammunition concealed in hidden compartments of a car and arrested two individuals.
District Police Officer Charsadda, Muhammad Arif, acting on tip off , led the operation with DSP Shabqadar, Gulshid Khan, in charge. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects.
From the concealed compartments of the motor vehicle, a total of 6 Kalashnikovs, 7 handguns, 4 rifles, 1 M4, 15 pistols, 56 magazines, and various types of 14,500 cartridges were recovered.
The arrested individuals, Bilal and Anar Gul are residents of the district of Peshawar. They were attempting to smuggle weapons from Peshawar to Mansehra.
A case has been registered against the suspects at the Shabqadar police station, and investigations are underway.
