RAWALPINDI: On the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, the Rawalpindi Police have launched a search operation in Cantonment and adjoining areas, said a police spokesman on Saturday.
He informed that heavy contingent of police, Elite Force, Special Branch personnel and ladies police along with officials of Cantt Police conducted search operation in Cantonment area and its surroundings.
During the search operation, a total 10 shops, 05 hotels were searched and 67 suspects were questioned.
The spokesman said that search operations to net criminals and proclaimed offenders were regularly being conducted in different areas of the district under National Action Plan to ensure law and order.
