DERA ISMAIL KHAN:In a major uplift and refurbishment work, several checkposts and police stations were renovated at various parts of the district on Monday.
According to the police spokesman, renovation and uplift work was carried out on the special directives of District Police Officer (DPO) Capt(retd) Najmul Hasnain and under supervision of DSP headquarters Asghar Ali Shah.
Besides various police stations and checkposts, the renovation work was also undertaken at Ejaz Shaheed Police Line wherein the main entrance was revamped with red gutka brick tiles.
He said a reception desk was established and CCTV cameras were installed. At some places kerb stone was used to separate roads and green belts. Similarly, PTCL and PESCO pylons were shifted, the spokesman said, adding acrylic letters were used for the theme wall.
Meanwhile, Chawdan police claimed to have arrested a notorious drug dealer Fata Ullah alias Matti and recovered 350 gram hashish from his possession. The accused was arrested by SHO Chawdan Aurangzeb Khan while patrolling the area.
