KARACHI: The process of distribution of polling material to presiding officers is underway in Karachi on Wednesday amid tight security arrangements.
Provincial Election Commission Sindh has established 9 dispatch centers in 7 districts of Karachi for the distribution of ballot boxes, ballot papers and other polling material to presiding officers concerned while arrangements were also made for transportation of polling staff and the material to the polling stations.
The dispatch center for district Malir of Karachi is set up at DC office Malir, for district West in the office of DC West, for district Central in Government Comprehensive School North Nazimabad, for district Korangi in Superior College Shah Faisal Colony and Government Girls College Korangi, for district South in Government Commerce College and Church Missionary School Nishtar Road, for district East in Expo Center Karachi, and Keamari district in Government College of Technology SITE Area.

sited display centres in East, Keamari and Central Districts of Karachi to inspect the process of distribution and delivery of polling material. Joint Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh Sardar Nazar Abbas and Commissioner Karachi Saleem Rajput were accompanied with him.
Caretaker Sindh Home Minister Brigadier (Rtd) Hariz Nawaz visited the center set up for the distribution of election materials at CMS Boys School, Nishtar Road to review the process of distribution and dispatch of the polling material.
It is pertinent to mention here that over 9 million registered voters of Karachi will exercise their right to vote for electing their representatives on 22 constituencies of the National Assembly and 47 constituencies of the Sindh Assembly in the general elections scheduled to be held on February 8, 2024.
