District

PESHAWAR:The initial investigation into the collapse of a private school roof in Dir Colony has identified the building’s age and poor construction quality as major factors behind the tragedy that claimed the lives of 33 students and two female teachers.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations has sent the preliminary investigation report to the Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar, according to the report’s findings.

The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety standards of educational institutions and the protection of children studying in school buildings.
