PESHAWAR:Preparations for international livestock, agriculture and fisheries exhibition scheduled during the first week of October 2023 have been completed, said a press release issued here on Thursday.
Last presentation regarding preparations regarding the expo was given to the Secretary Livestock, Dr Mohammad Israr. The two-day expo scheduled for October 4-5 at Paramount Club on Northern Bypass will be inaugurated by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Haji Ghulam Ali.
The aim of the expo is to make farmers aware of modern farming and shift them towards profitable farming by improving production.
Beside, Vice Chancellors of all Agricultural Universities, provincial ministers and secretaries to the provincial government, thousands of the dairy agri-fishery farmers will also attend the inaugural session of the exhibition.
The crucial meeting for finalizing preparations for the expo was attended by the president, Livestock Farmers Welfare Association, Mohammad Asif Awan, Qazi Zia-ur-Rehman, Ruqia Nadeem, Chief Executive Inbox Pakistan, Waqas Ali Jatt, Director General (DG) Livestock, Dr Alamzeb Khan, DG Fisheries, Dr Khisro Kaleem, DG Livestock (Research), Dr Ijaz Ali, Deputy Secretary Livestock, Yousaf Ali, Muddasir Mushtaq and other senior officials of the livestock, agriculture and fisheries sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Livestock, Dr Israr assured that the provincial government is providing all possible cooperation for the success of the expo.
He said that about 60 national and international firms and companies are participating in the expo and will highlight their modern technologies. Similarly, he said that 10,000 farmers will also participate.
He said that during the technical session, modern machinery and technology will introduced to the participants.
