Islamabad

Islamabad:Pakistan Television (PTV) and universities across Pakistan will explore collaboration to provide media and communication students with practical training, industry exposure and professional opportunities, as PTV Head Adil Shahzeb met Minister of State for Federal Education and Professional Training Wajiha Qamar in Islamabad to discuss stronger links between academia and the national media industry.

During the meeting, Adil Shahzeb discussed ways to connect PTV with Media and Communication departments of universities and provide students with hands on experience, professional training and opportunities to engage with the media industry.

Wajiha Qamar welcomed the initiative and emphasised the importance of closer cooperation between educational institutions and the media industry to equip young professionals with relevant skills and practical experience.

The proposed collaboration aims to help bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional media practice by giving students greater exposure to the working environment of the national broadcaster.
