ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) on Friday expressed grief and sorrow on the sad demise of United Arab Emirates (UAE) President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Offering condolence with brotherly Islamic country’s leadership and people, the PUC prayed for the high ranks of the departed soul in Jannah.
PUC Chairman Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Allama Abdul Haq Mujahid, Maulana Noman Hashir, Maulana Asad Zakaria Qasmi, Maulana Muhammad Shafi Qasmi, Maulana Asadullah Farooq, Maulana Muhammad Ashfaq Pitafi, Maulana Zubair Abid, Allama Tahir-ul-Hassan, Maulana Tahir Aqeel Awan, Maulana Aziz Akbar Qasmi, Maulana Saadullah Shafiq, Maulana Aslam Siddiqui and other religious scholars termed Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan the greatest friend of Pakistan who regarded Pakistan as his second home.
On this moment of sadness, the Pakistani entire nation was standing by the leadership and people of the UAE, they added.
