SARGODHA:Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan held an ‘Azmat-e-Quran’ rally, here on Sunday.
The rally, led by the Ameer TLP Sadiq-ul-Ameen, was from Astana-e-Aliya Anwar Muzammil Chak No 47-NB and culminated at Dehri Chowk Khushab Road.
A large number of party workers and other citizens participated in the rally.
The participants were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans expressing the sanctity of the Quran and love with the Holy Quran.
Ameer TLP Sadiq-ul-Ameen termed the Quran soul of the universe, saying it would exist in this world and hereafter.
“Every Muslim of the world stands for ‘Azmat-e-Quran” and desecration of the Holy Quran would not be tolerated,” he said. He strongly condemned desecration of Holy Quran in Jaranwala.
Division Vice-President TLP Javed Iqbal said whoever was involved in desecration of Quran should be punished.
The district police had made strict security arrangements for the rally.
