Rangers recover hoarded sugar worth billion

KARACHI:The Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday conducted a crackdown on sugar hoarders.



During the operations, a total of 140,000 bags of sugar were recovered from two different warehouses located at Islam Nagar, Baldia Town and Hub River Road, said a news release.



The approximated value of the recovered sugar was more than one billion rupees.



The hoarded sugar was reported to be sent to Afghanistan via Balochistan.



The recovered sugar was handed over to the civil administration for further legal proceedings.
