ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Mohsin Shahnawaz Ranjha on Wednesday said that there is no harm to launch peaceful protest on election results but spreading anarchy or repeating May 9 event would not be allowed at any cost.
Repeating May 9 like situation by PTI on election results could be harmful and action will be taken against violating laws, he said while talking to a private television channel.
He said that votes taken by the general public demanding the opposition to play its constitutional and constructive role for economic uplift and political stability of the country instead of spreading chaos.
Replying to a question about reserve seats, he said that PTI did not meet the legal requirement by not holding party elections. He added that the party should join any party to fulfill its demand. He further said that PTI didn’t adopt legal criteria that resulted in passing the verdict or decision against them.
