RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has introduced a provision for a 10 per cent annual compound increase in licence fees for four major advertising sites in Saddar and along Kashmir Road, with the combined annual reserve price set at Rs4.4 million for a five-year licence period.
Under the proposed terms, the annual reserve price for advertising sites near Mall Plaza and Naizi Shopping Centre on Kashmir Road has been fixed at Rs1.2 million each, while the sites near Rabi Centre on Adam Jee Road and Juice Corner on Bank Road, Saddar, carry an annual reserve price of Rs1 million each.
The combined annual reserve price for the four sites amounts to Rs4.4 million. The stipulated 10 per cent annual compound increase would progressively raise the licence fee over the five-year period, subject to the applicable terms and the final amounts agreed with successful bidders.
Under the licence conditions, the successful bidder will be required to deposit 25 per cent of the annual licence amount after approval of the agreement, while the first monthly instalment will be payable within seven days.
The RCB has communicated the relevant terms to interested companies, with the online bidding date set for October 29, 2026.
The revised licensing terms could increase the board’s revenue from these advertising locations over the contract period.
However, a comparison with previous licence agreements would be required to establish whether the new terms represent an increase over the rates previously charged to existing licence holders.
