Quetta: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Quetta Mehrullah Badeni on Monday said that the district administration is utilizing all resources to address civic issues and no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
He said this while chairing a meeting with Safa Quetta and QDP in view of the water flow on the road and the difficulties being faced by the public due to the blocked drain on the Airport Road.
The meeting was held due to the blocked drain at the airport for some days, which was causing severe difficulties to the citizens and also affecting the flow of traffic.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy PD, Quetta Development Project (QDP), Additional DC (Revenue) and Assistant Commissioner (President).
A detailed review of the situation was taken in the meeting and it was decided that all encroachments in the drain would be removed immediately.
The DC Quetta, while issuing clear orders to the relevant institutions, said that the drain should be completely opened by removing all encroachments through heavy machinery so that the water flow could be restored and a permanent solution to the problems being faced by the public could be found.
