RPO for forming traffic plan in consultation with traders

District

D.I.KHAN: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Abdul Ghafoor Afridi on Thursday said a traffic plan should be formed by DSP traffic with the consultation of traders in order to resolve traffic-related issues in the city.

He stated this during a meeting held here at Range Police Office with a delegation of Central Anjuman Tajran led by its President Sohail Azmi and comprised of its Senior Vice President Chaudhry Jameel, Superintendent Kafeel Ahmed Nizami and others.

The traders highlighted different issues of the city in front of the RPO, including crime ratio, traffic issues, the increasing number of Qingqi rickshaws in the city, and illegal parking on Circular road.

Moreover, the traders suggested allowing only one-way traffic in all four main bazaars of the city during the upcoming holy month of Ramazan.

The RPO said the traders’ community always extended their cooperation towards the police and administration for maintaining peace in the city. He hoped that not only traders but the people belonging to all schools of thought would continue to support the police and administration against the anti-social elements.

He urged the business community to support the police authorities in security matters and install security cameras in the markets.

During the meeting, the RPO also prayed to Allah Almighty for the eternal peace of the former President of Central Anjuman Traders Raja Akhtar Ali (Late).
