LAHORE: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has ordered release of over Rs 2 million funds for medical treatment of ailing police employees and their family members.
Sub-Inspector Mahboob Hussain from Vehari was granted one million rupees for a kidney transplant. Rs 500,000 were provided to the wife of the late ASI Abdul Ghaffar for cancer treatment. Constable Haris Saqib from Rawalpindi received Rs 100,000 for a leg surgery.
Head Constable Amir Ali Khan was granted Rs 100,000 for gallbladder surgery. Driver constable Rashid Bashir Abbasi received Rs 100,000 for his wife’s treatment. Constable Sajjad Hussain from Lodhran was given Rs 100,000 for leg treatment.
ASI Muhammad Tahir Islam and Head Constable Syed Nasir Abbas received 127,000 rupees for treatment of various ailments. The medical grant for these cases was approved by a committee under the chairmanship of Additional IG Welfare and Finance.
