ISLAMABAD: Vehemently rejecting social media rumours alleging the closure of Sago bridge, a spokesman of National Highway Authority (NHA) said the temporary bridge had been opened for the vehicles under (40,000 kg) 40 tonnes weight.
In a statement, he said the bridge, located on N-50, National Highway, connecting Dera Ismail Khan with Kuchlak town of Balochistan was damaged in the recent flash floods.
The vehicles of over 40 tonnes weight were not allowed to cross the bridge, he said, adding that the Minister for Communications Maulana Asad Mehmood had directed the concerned not to stop the vehicles of under 40 tonnes weight.
