Dera ismail khan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Department has reappointed Dr Sanaullah as Regional Information Officer (RIO) in Dera Ismail Khan after allegations of corruption and misconduct against him could not be substantiated during departmental proceedings.
According to departmental sources, the complaints and allegations had previously been levelled against Dr Sanaullah, prompting a review of the matter. However, the allegations were not established during the departmental proceedings, following which he was posted again as RIO, Dera Ismail Khan.
The decision has been welcomed by journalists and media circles across Dera division, who described it as a positive development for improving coordination between the Information Department and the media.
They expressed the hope that Dr Sanaullah would focus on addressing issues faced by journalists and strengthening communication between government institutions, newspapers and press clubs in the division.
The journalist community also stressed the importance of effective coordination between the Information Department, local newspaper owners, press clubs and working journalists, saying an active role by the RIO could help improve the flow of information and resolve media-related issues.
