Sargodha:University of Sargodha Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Tasawwar Hayat said on Thursday that further improvement in teaching, research and administrative affairs was among his top priorities.
Talking to reporter, the VC said effective measures would be taken to enhance the quality of teaching, provide students with modern educational and research facilities and improve the professional capacity of faculty members. He said the university’s administrative system would be made more effective, transparent and organised, while new sources of revenue generation would be explored through optimal utilisation of available resources.
Prof Taswwar Hayat said that linkages with industry, business organisations and other relevant sectors would be strengthened to enhance the university’s financial, research and academic standing. He said concerted efforts would be made through teamwork, hard work and a coordinated strategy to position the University of Sargodha among prominent and leading universities at the national level. He said providing students with education and practical training aligned with modern-day requirements was also among the university’s priorities.
Highlighting the importance of media, Prof Dr Tasawar Hayat said strong linkages between educational institutions and media were essential. He said the media could play an important role in highlighting positive activities of educational institutions, research achievements and contributions of students and faculty members at the national level, besides guiding society.
