LAHORE:A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on strengthening cooperation and exchange knowledge in the field of law and legal practice was singed between Supreme Court Bar Association of Pakistan (SCBAP) and Qingdao Law Society (QLS), here on Monday.
The MoU was aimed to promote cooperation, dialogue, exchange of knowledge and experience between Pakistan and Qingdao in academic study and legal practice.
The MoU was signed by SCBAP Secretary Muqtedir Akhtar and QLS President Cheng Dezhi.
Besides QLS delegation members, SCBAP Member Executive Committee (MEC) Muhammad Saim Ch, SCBAP MEC Muhammad Mohsin Virk, Sr. ASC Zafar Iqbal Kalanauri, Sr. ASC Zia Abdul Rehman Rana, Sr. ASC Muhammad Aslam Zar, Sr. ASC Muhammad Tahir Ch, along with many other senior lawyers were also present on the occasion.
Speaking at the MoU ceremony, QLS President Cheng Dezhi said that brotherly relations of Pakistan and China was a reality. He emphasised the need of enhancing relations among institutions of legal services of Pakistan and China.
Meanwhile, the QLS delegation also visited Lahore High Court Bar Association. The delegation also signed another MoU with the Bar for enhancing cooperation and research in field of law.
