Security audit ordered for Chinese, foreign nationals and key installations at industrial estate

Faisalabad:Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Inam-ur-Rehman Malik has ordered a fresh, comprehensive security audit of Chinese nationals, other foreigners and key installations at Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC).



He directed police and security agencies to ensure foolproof protection for foreign engineers, workers and power projects.



He issued the directives while presiding over a meeting about the security of Chinese nationals at FIEDMC.



Chief Executive Officer (CEO) FIEDMC Qurrat-ul-Ain, City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad Tanveer Hussain, SSP Operations Imran Ahmad, SSP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), SSP Special Branch and officers of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) also attended the meeting.



FIEDMC CEO Qurrat-ul-Ain gave a detailed briefing on the administrative affairs of the industrial estate as well as the prevailing security situation and arrangements for the protection of Chinese nationals and other foreign personnel.



RPO Inam-ur-Rehman Malik directed the CPO Faisalabad, SSP CTD, SSP Special Branch and SPU officers to conduct a fresh security audit of Chinese nationals, foreigners and important installations.



He ordered that foolproof security arrangements be ensured for foreign engineers and workers as well as power projects and other important installations, stressing that all security requirements should be reviewed comprehensively and necessary measures taken accordingly.



The RPO said that providing foreigners with a peaceful and secure environment was among the police’s top priorities.



He made it clear that any negligence in the security of Chinese nationals and other foreigners would not be tolerated.



He directed the concerned officers to ensure that Chinese and other foreign nationals working at FIEDMC and other projects were provided with a robust security environment so that they could perform their professional duties with a sense of safety and confidence.



He also stressed close coordination among the police, CTD, Special Branch, SPU and the management of FIEDMC to effectively address security-related concerns and ensure implementation of the security protocols.



Later, RPO Inam-ur-Rehman Malik planted a sapling at FIEDMC as part of the ongoing plantation campaign.



FIEDMC CEO Qurrat-ul-Ain also presented a commemorative shield to the RPO.
