KARACHI: Federal Urdu University of Arts Science and Technology (FUUAST) Department of Economics and Business and Meezan Bank, organized a seminar on Islamic Banking Awareness chaired by Dr Abdul Aziz in Dr Abdul Qadir Khan Auditorium here.
Speaking at the seminar, Mufti Amis Alam informed the students that Islamic banking is asset based without it there is no transaction in any Islamic bank, said a spokesperson on Sunday. He informed the students about the concepts related to Islamic banking in the light of Quran and Hadith. He said Meezan Bank provides all the products that customers need except personal finance.
Area Manager Tariq Kamal Awan said that we are in dire need of Islamic banking graduates but there are not enough people in the market. Bank Manager Jofa Tower Muhammad Arif thanked Dr Abdul Aziz for his cooperation in organizing the seminar and appreciated the mental abilities of the students.
Dr Abdul Aziz thanked all the speakers of Meezan Bank and said that in the future, a specialization on
Islamic banking will be introduced in the business department so that according to the increasing demand, our graduates can also work in the market using their skills. Dr Abdul Aziz was presented shield by Tariq Kamal Awan from Meezan Bank.
